An elderly pedestrian has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening conditions following a collision with a vehicle in Sidmouth.
The woman, who is in her 90s, has been taken by ambulance to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Temporary diversions were put in place after police received a call around 12.20 this afternoon (Friday) to an incident near the fork in the road in the High Street.
A police spokesman said: “We understand that the casualty is in her 90s. The woman is conscious and breathing and speaking to the officer. The road is being closed temporarily, while an ambulance crew deal with the incident.
“The casualty has left the scene and is off to the RD&E, injuries not life threatening.”
