THE anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two 70 years ago was remembered by Sidmouth branch of the Royal British Legion, who held a short service at Sidmouth War Memorial on Thursday, September 3 at 11am.
President Eileen Hodges laid a poppy wreath and Parade Marshal Patrick Weavin, who also acted as standard bearer, dipped the Legion flag as a group of committee members joined chairman Dave O'Connor to mark the occasion.
