Developer gets nod for three homes
A DEVELOPER has won its fight to build three new homes in Newton Poppleford, despite objections from concerned residents. District planning experts granted the project on land adjacent to Little Orchard, off Exmouth Road, planning permission. The site, which is currently used for grazing, will be transformed to accommodate three detached four to five bedroom two-storey houses. The land falls within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Neighbours had objected to the plans, citing traffic fears among concerns. The developer will fork out 11,000 in community cash to compensate for the loss of an open space.
