Young musicians showcased their talent at the Youth Presents Music event - with a number of East Devon students winning first place.
The Rotary Club of Otter Valley hosted the event at The King’s School. It featured youngsters from across the region. Colyton Grammar School pupil Euan McWilliams won the Lloyd’s Bank Salver section for intermediates with his rendition of Mendelssohn’s Song Without Words. Exmouth Community College student Zach Lines won the Sandals Crystal Cup for outstanding senior instrumentalist for his duet with Okehampton student James Culwick of JS Bach’s duet in D minor on the violin.
James also won the Lloyd’s Bank Salver award section for seniors.
It followed on from a successful festive season for the rotary club after it raised more than £4,500 for local and international charities.
