A young artist is celebrating making her first three sales in an exhibition – at just 10 years old.
Olivia Middleton was the youngest and first student to sell her artworks at the East Devon Art Academy’s annual end-of-year show in June.
Since September, the Sidbury Primary School pupil has attended the academy’s weekly children’s animal drawing class, which is designed to give the youngsters confidence both artistically and socially. The teacher, professional artist Hannah Twine, said: “Olivia is a very talented young girl and shows huge potential with her art. I hope this achievement will fill her with confidence and belief in herself.
“The children in the class are drawing to a standard well beyond their years and they just love what they do and this shines through in their work.”
