A NEW spin-off group of Sustainable Sidmouth has organised a beachcombing event for next weekend.
This is the first event organised by Youth Futures, an initiative aimed at educating children about the environment.
The group is encouraging as many children as possible, with at least one parent, each to come along to the event.
After items are collected from the beach they will be sorted into piles, including rubbish, recyclable material, and other pieces.
People are asked to meet at 11am at the Ham on Sunday, March 8.
The event will run until 3pm and people are asked to bring gloves.
