The Sidmouth Youth Trust received a cash boost after being presented with 1,000 by sixth-formers at Sidmouth College.

Di Fuller, chairman of the youth charity, went along to the school to collect the money presented by Greg Chaplin and Jasmine White, which will be used to continue the work of the group.

The Youth Trust relies completely on charity funding, and Di was pleased the pupils at Sidmouth College had chosen them to donate from their charities fund. She said: “This is a charity for young people in the Sid Valley area so the school wanted to support it. We already have links through their business studies A-level so it was very appropriate they would choose to support us in this way.”

Despite the funding Sidmouth Youth Trust is still desperate for volunteers to help them out this summer, and Di asks anybody who can help to get in touch on di_fuller@hotmail.com.
