As we come to the end of the indoor bowling season and look forward to outdoor bowling in the sunshine (and waterproofs!), we celebrate 100 years of bowling in Sidmouth.

Last Friday, the presentation evening for the "Potbury" sponsored Sidmouth external league was held at the clubhouse.

Michael Lee (Potbury's) made the trophy presentations to the winners: Exonia Club (Exeter); runner-up - Madeira Club (Exmouth); 3rd - Lyme Regis Club; 4th - Sidmouth.

Sidmouth president Tom Reynolds presented the Sidmouth League Cup to the winners Exonia; runners-up Madeira.

The club thank Potbury's for their continued support of this very popular external league.

Sidmouth ladies once again produced a great buffet on the night. Thanks ladies!

Club finals day was on Monday. In the morning session, the men's singles final resulted in a 10-shot win for Bob Seldon over John Wall 21-11.

On the other rink, the men's pairs saw a six-shot win for Frank Adam and Tony Brown over Ian Markey and John Mason 21-15.

In the afternoon sessions, Sue Mison and Peter Wilson played Sheila Burnand and Eddy Hills in the mixed pairs final, with a win for Sue and Peter 20 shots to 11.

Congratulations to all!
