Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club returned to league action and achieved some positive results across the club.
The men’s first team travelled to take on Taunton Vale 3 and came away with a victory, winning 3-1 and the second team defeated Taunton Vale 4 by a solitary goal in a competitive game played at Ottery.
The thirds claimed an emphatic victory when they travelled to Ashmoor 4, winning 7-1.
But the fourth team did not fare so well, losing 1-8 at home against Isca 6.
On the women’s side of the club, the first team’s match against Somerset Gryphons 1 was postponed. The second team claimed a point when they played away against Bridgwater 2, with a final score of 0-0.
In a home fixture against Chard 1, the women’s third XI came out second best, losing 0-5.
But the fourth team claimed the points by beating Exe 5, 3-0 in a home game.
