Ottery St Mary Under-18 maintained their outstanding form with a hard-working 4-0 victory over Holsworthy.
Jake Haggerty instigated the opening goal with a fine pass to Luke Paramore, who quickly spotted the Holsworthy ‘keeper off his line and executed the perfect lob from distance.
A fine save from Russ Bracey retained the Ottery advantage before man of the match Ewan Evans started the move that saw Jack Drew-Cull flick the ball into the path of Oliver Bradley for a deserved second.
New signings Luke Coombes and Cameron Bowers-Barker both made positive impacts, and a penalty from Paramore effectively sealed the win. Terrific wide play from Makan Coulibaly led to a cross for Finn Foster to volley home a sweet fourth.
“I couldn’t have asked anymore from the boys,” said manager Dave Haggerty. “It was a good confidence-booster after a long break and both debutants performed really well.”
