It was a high-scoring weekend for Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club with 36 goals in the eight recorded results.
It was the ladies’ first team that recorded the biggest win of the day with a 9-0 home win against North Somerset 1.
The ladies seconds were also in a high-scoring game but it was a more even encounter with the side losing 3-5 in a home fixture against Exe 3.
The ladies third team travelled to play Bridgwater 2 in Somerset but were well beaten, losing 6-1.
The fourth team also played away against Chard 2, and came away with a 1-1 draw.
On the men’s side of the club, the first team played at home against Mid Somerset 1 and suffered a loss, going down by 1-4.
But the second team recorded a strong 0-3 away win against Chard 2.
The other two men’s sides both claimed a point, with the third team getting a 1-1 draw at home to East Devon 4, while the fourths drew 0-0 away at Ashmoor 4.
