Competing in Division One of the Exeter Tennis League for the first time, Seaton Men's A pulled off a historic first ever win in the top flight of East Devon Tennis.
Undaunted after a recent crushing 8-0 defeat at the hands of David Lloyd Exeter, the team bounced back with a hard fought 6-3 win against strong opposition from Sampford Peverell.
Skipper, Barry Follett (62) said: "It's going to be a tough season but I'm so proud of the team for achieving this result even with Simon, our Club Chairman, playing as third reserve on the night!"
It was a great achievement for the Seaton players and just fuels the enthusiasm for tennis, as players settle into a regular rhythm of training and developing.
