Sidmouth Running Club member Jane Hemsworth was in impressive form when she travelled to Gloucestershire to take part in the Cotswold Lake 62 Triathlon on the final Saturday of July, writes Hamish Spence.
There was some unseasonably bad weather for the event that saw the action begin with Jane and all the other competitors in the deep water.
Jane had to swim 1500m before going through transition into the cycle race which then saw the competitors tackle a 40km, fairly flat course with a few inclines around the Cotswolds, before rounding off with a 9km run, cheered on by large gatherings of spectators.
Jane served up a superb performance to finish as the second lady in her age category, completing the event in a time of three hours and 19 minutes.
