Sidmouth bowlers played host to touring team West Oxford on another lovely East Devon day, writes Carol Smith.
It can be said that we have been very kind to the tourists this season ‘allowing’ them to win, but not this time!
We won overall by 123 shots to 89, which was perhaps not so friendly!
However, our visitors did seem to thoroughly enjoy a very nice Devon cream tea and they enjoyed our hospitality in the bar after the game. So, despite the scoreline, our visitors departed happy!
As for the best of the home rinks, that was the one of Simon Bowler, Maggie Masson, Norman Brimson and skip Jill Bishop.
