Last weekend saw the culmination of the Ottery St Mary Bowls Club internal competitions, writes Michael Smith.
The club finals were played over Saturday and Sunday in glorious weather, the most notable achievement was that of Steve Hall who reached four finals being successful in three of them.
Steve won both the open three-wood and open four-wood singles and was also victorious in the nominated mixed pairs with his partner Carol Keating.
Steve now becomes the new club champion. Congratulations, to Steve and of course to the other winners and runners-up of the various trophies.
Following the conclusion of the finals on the Sunday, club captain Terri Ward and her husband John, together with a great band of helpers, put on a magnificent barbecue for some 50 members - a fitting end to a great weekend!
