The sun shone for the hugely successful Ladies Open, organised by lady vice-captain Liz Rogers and her team, writes John Pawley.
There were 144 competitors from 25 different clubs in Devon and the neighbouring counties taking part in a three-ball better ball stableford meeting - with two scores to count.
Many of these no doubt were lured by the magnificent prize table, featuring very desirable handbags.
The home-made cakes and a variety of drinks on offer at the halfway hut, together with the raffle raised £450 for lady captain Janet Hughes’ charities - TRIP and the Honiton Memory Cafe.
The home team winners were Elizabeth Ward, Joan Smith and Ann Desmoulins with 75 points, and the away winners were a team from East Devon with a magnificent 84 points.
