Sidmouth Town thirds were involved in a thrilling Golesworthy Cup semi-final with Offwell Rangers.
The tie went the distance with Town winning it 4-3 after extra-time thanks to a brace from Joe Gosse, one from Jonny Dunn and a Freddie King penalty.
A delighted Town thirds boss Ian Peacock said: “All credit to the lads. We have a young team and it was a real challenge for them. To be behind for so long and seeming to be unable to find the equaliser despite giving it a right go, might have been a problem. However, the lads battled so well and fully deserved to go on and win it with the three goals in extra-time.”
Stand-in goalkeeper Matty Skelding was named the Vikings Man of the Match.
Town thirds will meet with Kentisbeare or Otterton in the final on a date yet to be confirmed.
