A BGA initiative for Aiming Higher came to North Hill last week, with BGA Aim Higher coach Kevin Atkinson, writes Jill Harmer.
A group of ‘wannabe’ cross-country pilots enjoyed some training in advanced soaring techniques, both in ground school and in the air.
One of the best days so far this year enabled the Club two-seater gliders and several private owners to enjoy a brilliant gliding cross-country day. Several flew round The Park in Wiltshire and Blandford in Dorset and parts of Devon on flights of 200-300Kms.
