The fifteenth round of the Sidmouth Jewellers Friday night league was won by David Bater with 39 points, writes John Barnard.
David is having an excellent season and is now almost down to a handicap of four (currently four-and-a-half).
Five bogies and three birdies meant a round of two over gross and his level gross back nine won him the day over Dan Griffits who also scored 39 points.
Dan plays off a higher handicap and six pars were the key to his good score. Andy Mills was third with 38 points. He had a mixed round with two no scores, two birdies and eight pars.
In the Friday night league, Mark Thomas has leapt into an 18 point lead over Craig Melluish who has hit a patch of poor form. Craig is one point ahead of Lee Wenham in third spot.
