The Charles Stanley sponsored Monday Stableford saw poor weather with rain through much of the day, writes John Barnard.
The course held up well and play continued with H Thompson (it isn’t that we don’t know his name – it’s just ‘H’) mastering the worst of the conditions for a magnificent 44 points and a four shot handicap cut.
Martyn White continued his great run of form for 40 points and will now go into the Challenge Cup semi-final playing off two.
Kym White (no relation, so Martyn claims) amassed 39 points in an unusually steady round for third place
Jonathan Lee continues to head the Birdie Count by six, this despite the return of John Jones, and also clings to narrow lead in the Eclectic as no improvements were made by the leading contenders.
