Sidmouth bowlers were victorious when they journeyed out of the county to visit Lyme Regis, writes Susie Bonnell.
Sidmouth arrived at Lyme Regis to find they were a player short and so home member Pam Weech, attending the match as a tea duty lady, kindly stepped forward to be an honorary Sidmouth team player for the day!
With Sidmouth captain-for-the-day, Susie Bonnell having a spare kit in her bag, Pam was able to turn out resplendent in visiting kit!
The ‘guest player’ made a huge contribution to the match, playing her part with skip Wilf Rayburn and Mary Turner to become the 26-7 winning rink as Sidmouth claimed an overall success of 110 shots to 95. A big round of thanks to Pam for turning out.
