West Hill teenager Talulla Bowyer rowed to a gold medal at the Junior Inter-Regional Rowing Regatta held in Nottingham, writes Yasmin Reid-Linfoot.
The year 9 student from Colyton Grammar School powered her way to victory, finished a full 40-metres ahead of the silver medallist!
Fourteen-year-old Talulla has been rowing since she was eleven and trains with Exeter Rowing Club as a single sculler.
With regard to her Nottingham success she said: “It was a great race!”
British Rowing, the organisation behind the regattas, is seeking to increase participation and create a thriving legacy for the sport”.
