Dan Rugg was a winner twice over at Sidmouth’s end of-season awards evening.
Rugg, one of a number of former colts currently in the 1st XV, was players’ player and patrons’ player of the year.
Haydn Down, another former colt, and from the front row along with Rugg, was named most improved 1st XV player of the season.
The awards evening was held in the rugby club.
The full list of award winners was: player of the year - Dan Rugg; 1st XV most improved player - Haydn Down; patrons player of the year - Dan Rugg; 2nd XV player of the year - Matt Ewings; 2nd XV most imprved - Louis Headon; 2nd XV clubman - Ryan Davies; colts player of the year - Malachi Rayner; colts most improved - Connor Woodhouse; colts players’ player - Henry Thomas; colts clubman - Harry Rumens; Tug Wilson Cup for player volunteer - Tom Seward (coaching girls rugby).
