Sidmouth ladies bowl to two shot victory over DCLIBA presidents team
This is an annual event organised by the president who brings along a squad of ladies chosen from the clubs within the DCLIBA section three group that Sidmouth re part of.
It’s a lovely opportunity for some friendly rivalry and a jolly good game of bowls, followed by a lovely tea prepared by Sidmouth ladies’ captain Zena Johnson and her committee team.
Each year the current DCLIBA president has a chosen charity and this year it is the very worthy one run by Anode (www.anodecharity.co.uk)
In terms of the action Sidmouth lost by two shots on one rink on the very last end, drew on the second rink and won on the third, giving them an overall two shot success.
The winning rink was skipped by Chris Hamer and comprised of Pat Ashton-Pritchard, Pat Harvie and Zena Johnson.
It certainly proved to be a lovely way to spend a rainy day!
