Will Hastie and Moray Bosence made a fine start to their Streatham Trophy bid with victory last weekend, writes Chris Roberts
Saturday was the first round of the competition which is played a four-ball, batter ball format, contested over four rounds with the pairs’ best three scores to count through the winter months.
The past two years have seen Hastie and Bosence miss out on the cup on the final day, but with a solid start this year, they scored a respectable 43 points, two better than the next best, they have made the perfect start.
Second place went to Lawrence Hill and Dave Bater with 41 points, edging out Keith Newton and Dave Hoare on countback after the latter pairing also scored a solid 41 points.
