Sidmouth Under-10s were 10-1 and 3-1 victors when they entertained Teignmouth at Sidford.
The Teigns arrived with a squad of nine players whilst Sidmouth were able to sport a match day gathering of 15.
Both sets of players displayed some excellent skills and the two matches were full of slick passing and strong tackling.
A feature of the Sidmouth performance was the standard of their defending, particularly from Finlay Hobday, Gabriel Roberts, Laurence Walker and Will Cockayne-Cottrell.
Home tries were scored across the two games by Hobday, Roberts, Walker, Cockayne-Cottrell, Ryan Cozens, Thomas Fletcher and Will Bolton.
There’s no doubt, certainly based on these two outings, that this particular group of Sidmouth RFC youngsters are showing regular improvement in the technical aspect of the game.
Congratulations must be recorded to Teignmouth for putting up a fine show themselves.
The Sidmouth Man of the Match award went to a fully deserving Will Bolton who displayed great tackling and try scoring throughout.
