Sidmouth Warriors Under-10s bagged a brace of wins in matches at Tiverton, writes Justin Ashby.
First up against Tiverton Youth they dominated throughout, but were profligate in front of goal. Stanley Richardson broke the deadlock with a trademark burst of speed and cool finish following good support play from Thomas Rowan. Samuel Rice doubled the lead in the second half, sweetly converting from close range.
In the second game against Moors Rhinos, the home side were a strong, well-organised outfit.
The teams were evenly matched in a goalless first half. The Warriors soon gained control of possession in the second half and began to create chances.
Joe Ashby found the net after a determined run, then Stanley stroked home a second after a fine through-ball by Jed Ionov-Flint. The team defended superbly to close out the game and compete a very successful mornings visit to Mid Devon.
