Jamie Spiller’s 41 points were more than enough to take the top spot in the latest Sidmouth Jeweller’s stableford, writes George Carr.
He finished three points clear of the hugely competitive Pat McCormack.
Spiller’s three birdies and steady all-round golf for a gross 69 was well deserving of first place.
As ever, McCormack’s one birdie and twelve pars reflecting his current form for a well deserved share of the prize money.
George Barber’s gross 76 and 38 points for third spot proved to be just a warm up for Saturday’s Aylmer Cup, as we shall see.
