Martin French’s long fade served him well as he lifted the Charles Stanley stableford at Sidmouth on Monday of this week, writes George Carr.
On the day he used only eight of his 14 shots to post a gross 74 for 43 points.
This left his nearest challengers trailing three points behind.
Messrs Wilson, Sanders and Sheppard must all have played well to register 40 points with the rest of the field well adrift on this very warm day.
Well played, Martin.
