Tiverton U11s 0, Sidmouth RFC U11s 40
Sidmouth’s roller coaster season continued with a handsome victory over the mid Devon outfit on a cracking Sunday morning, writes Craig Morgan.
A pre-game crash course on the ‘rush defence’ saw Sidmouth snuff out every Tivvy attack before it had chance to break the gain line and the blues were starved of any meaningful rhythm.
The Sidmouth forwards provided masses of clean possession to set up wave after wave of attack ball. Thus the free running skills of Roberts, Morgan, Jones, Stamp, Wyant, Bond and Kennaugh were duly rewarded with scores, the best coming from a text book catch and set line-out ball early on. Peacock chipped in too and provided the gloss for all the forwards’ hard work. Newcomer Rafe Elliott also played well as did Cole Monaghan.
with some crunching tackles, Elliott Emmott with some brave running and Max Dix who continues to listen, learn and adapt his very forceful style of play. Bravo the Under 11s.
