If you love off-road running, if you love running at night, then you'll want to try a running experience of multi-terrain racing in the dark.
The Nightrunner Race, organised by Axe Valley Runners, is just over seven miles of clifftops, muddy forest tracks and trails, dark, wooded country lanes followed by the expanse of the shingle beach at Branscombe and a nightmare ascent to Beer Head.
The route will be marked with fluorescent tape and red lights, marshalled and back-marked and yes, a torch is compulsory!
Sponsored by The Anchor Inn in Beer, the Nightrunner starts at 7pm on Saturday, March 26, outside the Anchor Inn and begins, literally, with a bang as a huge firework rocket brought especially from Cambridge for the occasion, will explode into the night sky .
