On a bitterly cold morning, Sidmouth started well with Ben Goodier passing a long ball through to Ollie Pugsley who had a one on one with the keeper and placed the ball in the bottom corner for the first goal. Central City came at Sidmouth, breaking down their defence and scoring to make it 1-1 at half time. In the second half Sidmouth got back to playing some good football with great tackling from Oran Bramble, Luke Spiller and Scott Gibson.Some excellent saves from Josh Roberts in goal kept them in the game.Eventually Goodier passed a lovely ball up to the half way line where it was picked up by Pugsley. He passed it to Jacob Rice who found Jordan Fowler. He ran the ball down the line and put in a brilliant cross to Rice who laid it off for Ollie Pugsley to tap into the net. For the rest of the game Sidmouth played out wide on the wings with Jordan Fowler again running down the wing to cross for Rice to score.Credit goes to all the Sidmouth players for an excellent performance.l Sidmouth started the second game looking quite tired, having not played a match for a few weeks and putting so much effort into the first game. Sidmouth passed the ball well and got it down the wings with good play from Spiller and Fowler. Bramble and Goodier tackled well in defence.Rice got the ball down the right wing to Fowler, who beat his man, only to see his shot hit the post.Sidmouth went on to hit the goal frame twice more before Spiller eventually scored a great individual goal. Central United broke down the defence to score two goals. Sidmouth never gave up and deserved at least a draw from this game.Josh Roberts again made some great saves which earned him Man of the Match honours. Well done boys, they were two great games to watch.
