The Ottery St Mary Development side continued their preparations for the new season with a confident 6-1 defeat of Thorverton 2nds.
The opening goal arrived after neat play between Jack Kissane and Finn Foster culminated in a cross for Brandon Pym to head home. A beautiful team goal was followed by an individual screamer, Taylor Murphy volleying a scorcher from distance.
Thorverton pulled a goal back with a lovely strike of their own but the Otters confirmed victory with 15 minutes remaining, Murphy calmly slotting past the ‘keeper.
A second from Pym came next and Foster also got his name on the score-sheet. More terrific play through the team presented Pym with his hat-trick in the closing stages.
Man of the match was awarded to Liam Clow, great performance from start to finish. Manager David Haggerty said: “Liam has a bright future ahead of him.”
