Sidmouth Town enjoyed their best performance of the season on Tuesday, as they dismantled Elmore 6-2 in the South-West Peninsula League.

Sidmouth started like a bullet train, racing into a two-goal lead with strikes from Jamie Vaughan-Ryall and Will Jenkins, who was excellent throughout.

A wonderful pass from Jamie Fanson released Louis Jagger Cane to calmly convert the third and the Vikings were in dreamland when Nathan Cooper provided the assist for Jenkins to lob the Elmore goalkeeper for a 4-0 lead on the half-hour.

Elmore rallied with two goals before the interval but were soon rocked again, Danny Pym calmly converting a penalty to ease any Sidmouth stress. Pym then turned provider for Jagger Cane to steer a composed finish past the beleaguered Elmore custodian.

The Vikings have subsequently moved into relative mid-table comfort and will host Torrington on Saturday before a Cup derby at home to Honiton the following week.
