Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club recorded a range of results at the weekend across the seven teams that played but it was the ladies’ first team that claimed the best result. 

Playing at home against Weymouth 1, they came away with a superb 10-2 victory. The ladies’ second team were also playing at home and claimed a league point in a goalless draw against Chard 1.  

The third team went down 5-0 to Exeter University 7ths and the fourths also lost, 1-2 at home to Taw Valley 2nds. 

On the men’s side of the club, the first team played at home against Minehead 1 and claimed a point, with the match finishing 2-2. 

In a reciprocal fixture, the second team travelled to Somerset to play against Minehead 2 but they did not fare so well, losing 4-0. And the third team travelled to the English Riviera to face Torbay 2 but were heavily beaten, 10-0.
