Goalless draws were the order of the day for the men’s side of Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club at the weekend, with three of the four achieving that result.
The first team drew away against the University of Exeter 7 team and the fourth team development side had a stalemate with Isca 7. The second team achieved the same result in a home match against Shepton Mallet 2nds.
It was only the third team that missed out on any points with a 2-5 home defeat against Ashmoor 3rds.
On the women’s side of the club, there were more wins than losses. The second team led the way with a 4-1 home win against Exe 4ths.
The third team also claimed all the points in their home fixture against Exeter and Culm Vale Hornets 2nds, winning 1-0. The fourth team development side did not fare so well, losing 0-3, away at Exe 5ths.
