Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club achieved some good wins and heavy defeats at the weekend.
The ladies’ first team won decisively when they travelled to Taw Valley 2, with a 2-6 victory, and the second team performed well at home, winning 3-2 against Winscombe 2.
The women’s third and fourth teams did not fare so well with the thirds losing heavily at home, 0-9 against Honiton Hornets. The fourth team development side travelled to take on Isca and Exeter University 7 and lost 5-1.
On the men’s side, the first team suffered a similar result, losing 5-1 in their away fixture at Bristol and West 3, and the third team suffered a heavy defeat, losing 0-13 at home to Isca 5, while the fourth team development side’s match at home to Ashmoor 4 was cancelled.
On a brighter note, the third team claimed all the points in their home match against Yeovil and Sherborne 2, winning 2-1.
