The golfers from Sidmouth Ladies were delighted to be back out on the fairways again after a few weeks of poor weather, with the waterlogged conditions taking turns with a hard frost to make the course unplayable.

A good field of ladies played in the County Prize on a somewhat misty and cloudy day but, thankfully, not bitter cold or soaking wet.

Coming first with a great score of 34 points was Gill Johnson, this was despite her four blobs, so her score could easily have been in the 40s in better conditions! Second place went to Ros Eaton with 31 points and close on her heels with 30 points, in third place, was Catherine Walden.

The players are all hoping that the dry conditions last a while now to ensure they can continue to play over the remaining winter months to keep the practice up before the qualifiers begin again.
