It was not a great weekend for Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club with some games not taking place and defeats in others.
Both the women’s first team and men’s second team had matches cancelled. The men’s first team took on University of Exeter 7 in a home fixture and narrowly missed out on getting anything from the game, losing 1-2.
The third team travelled to Totnes to play against Ashmoor 3 but came away empty-handed, losing 4-0. But on a more positive note, the fourth team development side achieved a 1-1 draw at home against Isca 7.
On the women’s side of the club, the teams did not fare much better. The second team lost 4-1 when they travelled to play against Exe 4.
In the meantime, the fourth team development side played at home against Exe 5 but lost 3-6. And the third team travelled to Exeter and Culm Vale Hornets 2 but missed out narrowly, losing 1-0.
