Two of the teams at Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club recorded good wins at the weekend, with both the men’s seconds and women’s first’s beating Taunton Vale and scoring six goals in the process.
The ladies’ first team travelled to Somerset to play against Taunton Vale 2 and won 2-6, while the men’s seconds entertained the same club at home and won 6-3.
Elsewhere in the club, the men’s first team travelled to Exeter and Culm Vale Hornets and lost by the odd goal in three, losing 2-1. And the men’s third team conceded a 0-7 loss at home against East Devon 3.
On the women’s side of the club, the second team played against Bridgwater 2 and lost 1-3, while the third team lost 12-0 in an away fixture against Isca and Exeter University 7. Neither of the fourth team development sides played.
