Sidmouth Ladies have certainly managed to put the golf club on the map recently with a few great away wins.
Sheila Faulkner and Marie Timms won their DCVLGA interclub knockout match against Thurlestone held at Bovey Tracey course on April 11 with a dominant winning score of 6&5, despite appallingly wet conditions.
Maria Clapp came a very respectable 13th out of 30 in division 1 at the Devon Medal Finals held at Honiton on April 13 and Gerri Whitrow came first in Division 2 out of 27 players!
Well done to all who took part.
Sidmouth Ladies now look forward to the Presidents trophy team and Sheelah Creasy teams representing the club in the ensuing weeks and wish them all the very best in their endeavours, as the golfing season begins to blossom, hopefully under the shine of warming blue skies.
