A small field of ladies from Sidmouth Golf Club played in the Killard Leavy competition at the beginning of June, a veteran ladies’ event with plenty of quality scoring on display.
The event was won by Geri Whitrow and Heather Cowan with 39 points. They go on to represent the club at Okehampton in September.
The Warren Crocus Greensomes competition was played on June 7 in fabulous sunshine and perfect conditions for golf, although controlling shots into the green was a bigger challenge.
Sheila Skittrall and Gill Johnson narrowly beat Diane Boyden and Vanessa Ireson, on countback, with great scores of 41 points. In third place were Geri Whitrow and Jane Renken with 38 points.
The winners of this competition again go forward to represent the club at Okehampton on September 25. We wish everyone well in the ongoing events.
