A hastily arranged fixture took place at Blagdon Hill after both teams had opposition withdraw, meaning Tipton played the home side for the third time this season, so with one win each, this was the series decider.

Tipton were put into bat and had Phil Tolley to thank for the early progress. He lost partners Dave Thayre and Andrew Smith who both scored 10 and Ben Kidson, bowled for 8.

The arrival of John Buckland saw a big change in fortunes, as 147 was added for the 4th wicket in 22 overs. Phil Tolley retired having reached 102 off 118 balls but a further 46 was added between Buckland and Lev Konar before Buckland also retired in the final over, having scored 100 from 79 balls. Konar was run out off the final ball, leaving Tipton on a powerful score of 266-4.

Good early bowling by Mark Channon, who took three wickets, saw Blagdon Hill dip to 24-3, including the dangerous Elliott Trotman for 19. As he had been unbeaten on 88 in the previous match, Tipton were optimistic, but still had brother Louis Trotman to consider, who had been unbeaten on 107 in June.

Owen Smith then took a turn at taking three wickets, including Louis Trotman for 35, leaving Blagdon on 64-8. A good partnership of 52 between Andy Free and Jim McConnell was ended by Reece Whittington, who took both of their wickets thanks to a good catch in the deep by Andy Smith and one by keeper Dave Thayre.

Sam Stone took the final two wickets. David Wright was bizarrely stumped by Thayre when he kicked a loose ball back on the stumps and the innings ended on 126 when Stone bowled Hannan, giving Tipton the series win!
