East Devon bodybuilder Lucy Garland has made a blinding start to the new season, achieving first place overall in her opening show, which secures a place at the British Finals in Wolverhampton in October.
Lucy, who lives in Sidbury and works for Royal Mail Honiton, progressed to her second show against some of the leading competitors in the country, where she again placed highly and will be in the PCA British Finals in Telford, also in October.
The hat-trick was complete with victory in the Diva Class and third in the Open Bikini for her third show, and Lucy plans to celebrate her positive start with a local competition in Exeter on September 24.
Judging feedback praised her improved muscle development, posing and stage presence, but there is always more work to be done in a sport that requires huge discipline and dedication. Well done Lucy, keep flying the Devon flag.
