Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club recorded mainly wins on Saturday 14 with only the men’s first team missing out.

Playing away at Exeter and Culm Vale Hornets 1, the firsts lost 4-0.

The men’s second team had a home fixture and entertained Taunton Vale 4. In a tight game, the home side claimed all the points, winning 4-3, writes Andrew Coley.

The third team travelled to Plymouth for a match against Ocean City 4 and returned home with a 0-2 win.

And the fourth team played away at Torbay 3. As a development side, the result was always going to be a 0-0 draw but unofficially, the side won 0-1.

On the women’s side of the club, it was wins right across the board.

The first team had a resounding win at home against Taunton Vale 2, with a winning margin of 4-0.

The seconds were also playing at home and in their case against Honiton Hornets. They claimed all the points in their encounter with a 2-0 win.

The third team travelled to Chard 2 and played in a tighter game but claimed victory with the odd goal in three, 1-2.

And the fourth team had a similar result, with a 2-1 home win against Exeter and Culm Vale Hornets.
