It was a mixed bag of results for Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club at the weekend with the full range being recorded, writes Andrew Coley.
On the women’s side of the club, the first team travelled to play Exeter and Culm Vale Hornets 1 and claimed a point with a 2-2 draw.
The second team also played an away fixture but for them it was not such a happy encounter as they lost 6-0 against Exeter 3. SOHC’s third team took on Exeter 5 at home and faced a similar deficit, losing 0-5.
But on an up note, the fourth team played away against Chard 2 and claimed all the points with a 0-2 win. On the men’s side of the club, the first team took on University of Bristol 4, winning 2-1.
The second team took part in a close match, away at Isca 6 but lost by the only goal of the game, 1-0. The third team enjoyed a good result in a home match against Devonport Services 3, winning 3-0.
The fourth team entertained Ocean City 4 at home. The result of the game was 0-3 to the visitors but as the SOHC team is a development side, the official result was 0-0.
