A nail-biting golf match went down to the wire in a tightly contested battle.
Sidmouth Golf Club’s seniors secured a narrow victory in their final away fixture of the season, edging out Okehampton 6.5 to 5.5 on a picturesque autumn day.
The result came down to the final pairing, with James Scrimshaw and partner Paul Kane two down with two to play.
James won the 17th hole, and Paul holed a tense four-footer on the 18th to earn the crucial half-point.
A club spokesman said: "The golf was great, but was surpassed by a delicious meal and the warm hospitality provided by Okehampton."
