Abbot hat-trick as Sidmouth Raiders Under-10 storm back to tame Leopards in Mid Devon

CS Leopards 2 Sidmouth Raiders 5

Sidmouth Raider’s Under-10s CJ Abbot bagged a hat-trick and led tremendous fight-back after Raiders had fallen two down inside ten first half minutes.

Robbie Hallett pulled a goal back just before half-time with a low shot to send the Raiders into the break with renewed optimism.

The second half proved to be the CJ Abbot show as Raiders netted four unanswered goals! Samuel Burhop volleyed home the equaliser shortly after the re-start before Abbot crashed home the first of his goals, a rising right foot strike from long range to make it 3-2.

Within a couple of minutes Abbot stretched the lead, this time with a left foot shot from long range and then, when Burhop was brought down in the box, Abbot stepped up to thump home the penalty for his third and Raiders fifth.
