It was a lovely sunny day for the fun ‘Accumulator Stableford’ competition in teams of three at Sidmouth Golf Club.
The 18 holes were divided into scoring zones of 1,2 or 3 scores to count, so the pressure was certainly on for some holes.
Coming in with a great winning score of 75 were Mo Borer, Diane Boyden and Catherine Walden.
Close behind in second with 73 points, and on countback, were Anne Blackler, Chris Cave and Ros Eaton. Third place were Maria Clapp, Sue Dowen and Vanessa Ireson.
There were 2 twos recorded - Sheila Faulkner on the 11th and Liz Chance on the 6th hole.
Well done to all.
I am pleased to report that the Sidmouth Team had a brilliant away win against Honiton in the Sheelah Creasy Trophy. The resounding result was 5-0 and played in extreme temperatures. Every member of the team played brilliantly.
