Sidmouth Town sprung a big South West Peninsula League Eastern Division surprise with a 5-3 win at Appledore.

The North Devon went into the game having lost just four league outings this season – no other team in the division had lost fewer.

In contrast Town travelled North with a changed side with injury forcing them into a new look central defensive pairing and Dec Lines between the posts.

The Vikings led 3-2 at half-time and the game saw three more second half goals with Town the deserved winners at full time.

Sean Densham and Tyler Wellman were the other Town scorers.
